ABOUT ABSRAMMANDIR

In the Initial stage of Tata Iron & Steel Co, and founder of the Steel City Jamshedpur earlier named KALIMATI, provided employment to early migrated Andhra Community mostly from Visakhapatnam and nearly place during the year 1911 to 1919. Those Employees,who had put hold some service beyond 5 to 6 Years with educational background, were gathering and were discussing for proper meeting place after duty hours, some people with religious thinking wanted Sri Rama Mandiram and Monday "Bhajans" were part of daily life in Andhra region even in remote villages. In the year 1919; Three devotees named Late Sree V. Narsimha Das, Late Sree E. Buchi Subedar ‘and Late Sree Damodar Lakshman constructed the temporary shed in Labour Colony of R N Type quarters in the Bistupur area of Jamshedpur. This temporary shed caught fire by accident and was completely destroyed.

In the year 1925, the members of the Andhra Bhakta Bhajan Mandiram headed by Late Sree E Buchf Subedar (Father of late E Malliah Naidu) approached the Management of the Tata Iron & Steel Co. Ltd, to grant them a plot of land for building Sree Rama -Mandiram. The management was kind enough to sanction a temporary ‘plot to the east of Sakchi Boulevard (main Road) are permitted building shed,this was done and establishment was efficently run by Late G Venkata Rao. At what time Managing committee consisting of V Narsimha Das, K Baram, G Venkata Rao, N Narsimha Rao, S Appalaswammy and others.

On 08.06.1929, by joint effort of late sree K baram and late sree K S V Naidu entrusted the matter of obtaining permanent lease of land for mandiram from Tisco Ltd, In the hands of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great National leader and his associate and Ex-labour leader Late Sree W V R Naidu, the then President and General secretary respectively of the Jamshedpur Labour Association. The First General Meeting of the members was held on 21 Sept, 1930 under the Presidentship of Sree Alladi Venkata Ramana Naidu. A code of Rules and Regulation for the management of the affairs of the Mandiram was approved and adopted and 1st Management committee was come enforce as follows:

Renovation of school building and staff quarter are major future projects for present committee. For the same expected budget are approx 15 lacs.

Our Services


Excluding to the mandiram part, we are having the following for service to needy persons:
a).Lady Ghandy Memorial Homeopathy Centre: Free Medical Services for all inaugrated by Mrs. Ghandy (Ex. Tata Managing Director's Wife), Now ABS Rama Mandiram appointed a lady Doctor for medical services fo needy people.


b) ABS Rama Mandiram Middle School : childrens with a strength of approx 15 Trained teachers and maintained by School committee of our Executive members.


(c) E-darshan counter of Tirupati : With your kind co-operation we are having 1st E-darshan couter in Jharkhand state. ABS RAMA MANDIRAM is very much thankful to TTD officials.


(d) Sri Venketeshwara Kalyana Mandapam: Excluding to the marriage hall we are having one approx 800sq.ft. hall for engagement and other short time programs for below poor line families to solve their marriage functiobs etc. Geeta Mandapam: There is a marriage hall with lowest charges comparative to other marriage halls in and around the area (Bistupur Jamshedpur) with a motto to serve the poor and needy people.

(e) Including daily daivik puja, abhishekam and other devotional activities perfom in Mandiram, All annual functions like Brahmotsavam of Lord Sri Venketeshwara, Vaikuntha Ekadasi celebrations, social services like Poor feeding time to time and other activities for public entertainment also done in the premises of our Mandiram.
